Regular Bandas Make Life Difficult in Nepal

Bandas are no knew word to the people of Nepal these days. Now and then they are facing the wrath of banda. As the day for the promulgation of new constitution of Nepal is nearing (only 8 days left now) the bandas and strikes are growing in number. These bandas and strikes have harrowed the life of the people and put their life on a standstill.

Almost everyday there are people carrying flags gathered in the street declaring bandas and strikes affecting the normal and daily lives of the people. Why are they doing such bandas? A question which normally has almost ready and made up answer -- To make their voice heard and registered in the coming constitution. Kinda cliche.

The vehicles aren't seen plying on the road and those plying are bound to take detour as they don't want their vehicles to be vandalized. The schools and colleges are also affected by the bandas. The hospitals are open, but how are the sick and ill people going to get there!!! Everything is jammed up.....no work, no schools, no colleges ..... and nothing..... ( What a mess)

However, it has got its better part also..... the important one -- less pollution. Apart from that these bandas are not going to help the country, its economy and most importantly its people. So lets not protest by doing bandas and strikes, but devise a novel way to protest and make our/your voice heard. 

Happy Mother's Day

Today its the Mother's Day......... and sons and daughters in Nepal are preparing to celebrate this day in their own way. Some are buying sweets and others are buying gifts to give their mother and make them happy. However, a question arises here...Is a day reverence to one's mother enough to make her happy? What about other 364 days? Isn't it our duty and responsibility to keep her happy the whole year and her whole life? Because what a mother goes through and does for her children in her lifetime can't be compared to anything material in this world.
So....apart from revering her only a single day, lets revere and make her happy you whole life.

Chinese Premier's Official Visit to Nepal

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao paid an official visit to Nepal today i.e. 14th of Jan 2012. Chinese PM's visit, which was scheduled earlier this month was cancelled and media told that it was due to China's internal reasons. Better late than never.
The Chinese Premier's official visit to Nepal has helped strengthen the bilateral between Nepal and China. Although the visit was short, the foreign minister of Nepal in an interview has said that the visit was fruitful. 

Nepal defeated Saudia Arabia By a Huge Margin

In ACC Twenty20 Cup Nepal defeated Saudi Arabia by 95runs. Batting first Nepal put a massive score of 183 runs losing 5 wickets. Mehaboob Alam top scored with 88 runs, the highest run scored by a Nepali batsman in Twenty20 tournament. Chasing 184 runs Saudi Arabia were bowled out for 88 runs.
