Polythene Bags: Polluting The City

Kathmandu, once called the city of temples is being polluted day by day. Not only the Kathmandu, but the major cities of Nepal: Biratnagar, Pokhara, Dharan, Hetauda, Narayangarh and many more are being polluted on a daily basis.

It was told that the land of Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, was fertile land. And very good for cultivation. But this fertile land has now changed to a jungle of concretes. With people from all over the country gathering in this city, the pollution has also increased. Few years earlier the rivers flowing in this city used to be clean and clear, but now the rivers are polluted. The numbers of vehicles running on the street are also increasing day by day.
Air pollution, water pollution and land pollution--all these can be found in this capital city.

Polythene bags are the major source of land pollution in this city and I think its also a major source of pollution in almost every country. We can see polythene bags scattered here and there, everywhere on the roads and on the river banks. Plastics are recyclable but these polythene bags, its a trouble. Yes they are being recycled but the amount with which they are increasing in the daily chores, makes it uncontrollable.

Affected by Cold Weather

The cold weather has affected most part of the world this year. In Nepal, the people are complaining that its too cold this year than last year. News television around the world are also reporting that America and Europe are also affected by this year's winter season. The snowfall in Europe and America has affected the daily lives of the people living in these continents. Its been reported that America is witnessing a heavy snowfall this year, which they haven't witnessed since a decade.
All these are the consequences of the disaster which humans have done to the nature. If such things kept on going then nature will also take its revenge in its own ways.

Maoists' Three Days Strike Nationwide

The Maoist party of Nepal has called for a three days nationwide strike, starting from today i.e. 20Dec2009. The Maoist Party has stated that it is calling this strike for the correction of unconstitutional steps taken by the president on the resignation of the army general issue and also to establish people's supremacy.
The first day of the strike went peacefully with clashes in some places. Whether the strike affected the political leaders of not, but the public were badly affected by the strike. As there were no vehicles plying on the road, people has to walk by foot to their destination and we could see hordes of people walking on the road.
All shops, markets, industries were closed, which disallowed people from buying things of their personal needs. With whatever reason this strike was called on, the public is going to suffer a lot from it.

NC(Nepali Congress) IS TO FORM AN ARMED YOUTH WING

KhumBahadur Khadga, a leader of NC(Nepali Congress) one of the three major parties of Nepal, has recently said that his party was planning to form an armed youth wing to combat the violent and lethat activites of UCPN-Maoist. KhumBahadur Khadga told this at a mass meeting at Janajyoti Multiple Campus.
What will be the state of our country if the mother party to their benefit continued to establish such armed wing? If such things continued then law and order will be difficult to maintain. So the leaders are urged to take into account its future effect before even proclaiming such discourses in public.
What do you think, was the KhumBahadur Khadga's proclamation a right thing to do in this state of our country? Comments will be appreciated.
