NTC Balance Transfer Facility

The Nepal Tele Communication(NTC) halted its balance transfer facility some months ago, and it is not showing any positive motives to reopen the halted balance transfer facility. The NTC, the largest mobile service provider of Nepal, says that it will soon reopen the balance transfer facility. However, their words has disappeared in the air. The users of NTC is waiting for the balance transfer to begin again. As majority of NTC users are middle class people and students, they cannot afford to buy recharge cards worth 200 and 500. The NTC has issued recharge cards worth Rs 50 and 100 but they are not distributed regularly and the users face the problem of the shortage of these cards regularly.

GIRIJA PRASAD KOIRALA-- NO MORE

The leading figure of Nepali politics, Girija Prasad Koirala left for his heavenly abode on Saturday, 21st March 2010. A major figure who was part of the team who helped end the Maoist rebellion and brought them into into a peace process died at the age of 87. Girija Prasad Koirala is revered by all the parties and leaders of the Nepali politics and also the political leaders including the foreign political leaders. He was like a father figure. With his death the Nepali politics has lost an umbrella, a rope which has helped to bond all the parties with different ideologies together.
With the death of Girija Prasad Koirala, what turn the ongoing peace process and the political activities will take in the near future is a big question in every civilian's mind. Hope the parties will stay together to fulfill the peace process and give it a peaceful outlet, so that the term " NEW NEPAL" can really come into its existence. And that was also the dream of late Girija Prasad Koirala.

May his soul rest in peace.

Are Scientists Born OR Are They Made?

A majority of the people in this world thinks that scientists are made, they are not born. Their learning and their teaching leads them to step forward in the scientific exploration and excel their knowledge with experimentation and discoveries. But does this truth goes for all the scientists who lived before us and who are living at present? If we analyze each and everyone of them closely we can find that the statement -Scientists are made- is not 100 % true. Take for example Edison, Graham Bell, Marconi........ Are they made? or Are they born with the inborn qualities which pushed them forward to become the great inventor(Scientist) of their generation and they are still counted as a great inventor.

Buddha Born in India? What is this?

A user in facebook has posted that when we search " Birthplace of Buddha" in Google Map it will show you that Buddha was born in India. Seeing this I too searched the keyword in Google Map. The result as I found was like this-- the map shows that the birthplace of Buddha as Lumbini, but on the left side of the screen its written that -Birthplace of Buddha, Uttarpradesh, India. What is this?
"Gautam Buddha was born in Nepal", Its a well know fact around the world. However, with the result found in Google Map, a sort of wrong impression can go to its users in Nepal and most probably in other country around the world as well. So please correct the information and let GOOGLE be well known for providing correct information to its users.

Hail Storm Lashes Kathmandu

1st March 2010. A brief sudden heavy rain with falling hailstones in the evening made the journey of paedestrians difficult in Kathmandu. The rainfall was sudden. Although the rain was expected, no one has imagined that the rain will fall at that time of the day without any previous warning, and probably no one has imagined that the rain will accompany hailstones with it.
The rain though it came without any warning, it has atleast made the environment clean. The smog and smoke hovering in the sky of the capital city are now settled. Probably the citizens of kathmandu will at least feel relieved to get the atmosphere clean.
