May 28 - Knocking Our Door

May 28, 2010 - the day when the new constitution of Nepal should be formed is nearing soon. However, the members of constituent assembly and the political parties hasn't shown any sign of the new constituent being drafted on time. The major parties now are having dialogue to increase the time of CA ( Constituent Assembly) so that they can fulfill the mandate of Nepali people by giving them a new constituent.

UCPN-Maoist To Unveil Their Constitution On May 29

What is going to happen after May 28 in Nepali politics? Everyone is uncertain about it. But if the big three parties do not come to a consensus before that date then the Maoist is going to unveil its own federal constitution all over the country on May 29 summoning assemblies. "Maoist to Unveil Their Constitution On May 29" was the main headline in almost every daily newspaper in Kathmandu.
Maoist is planning to unveil their constitution and at the same time discussing with major political parties to reach a consensus, but they have not reached to any consensus till now and the danger of political jeopardy is hovering the country and its citizen.

Blog Becoming Famous Among Nepali Youngsters

With the development and advancement of information and communication technology, the Nepali youngsters are involved deeply in writing blogs. In earlier generation there used to be journal writing tradition, but now a days they are hooked to blog writing tradition. As internet and computer is becoming more and affordable, more and more youngsters can be seen creating their own blogs and expressing their inner feelings to the world. We can see students in cyber cafe and libraries posting their articles in their blogs. Blogs has now become a medium for these youngsters and also to many others to pour out their feelings and sentiments, and has also become a medium through which they can share their knowledge to the people all over the online world.

MAOIST CALLED OFF ITS INDEFINITE STRIKE

TO everyones surprise the UCPN- Maoist called off its indefinite strike yesterday evening. Yesterday at about 9:30pm local time, the UCPN-Maoist called a press conference and declared that it has called off its indefinite strike as the public is suffering a lot from their strike and the party in the government is trying to infiltrate their procession and gatherings and trying to create a havoc leading the general public to fight against each other.
The market which remained closed for six days will reopen from today. The general public is feeling somewhat relieved as the price of daily commodities and food had rocketed sky high. With the calling off of the strike, now the daily life of the citizen will slowly come to its normal state.
The public feeling relieved from the UCPN-Maoist decision has urged the party and other parties in the government to come to a consensus with dialogue, and has also pleaded not to disrupt the harmony and peace prevalent in the country.

Indefinite Strike of UCPN-Maoist On Its Third Day

The indefinite strike of UCPN-Maoist is continuing for its third day here in Nepal. As the strike is progressing day by day, the daily life of the general public is becoming more and more difficult. There is no sign of any consensus being formed between the Maoist and the Governement till now.
Yesterday, on the third day of the strike the Maoist and the people supporting their strike did the chain procession i.e. catching each other's hand and circling the whole CHAKRAPATH which is 27 Kilometre long.
Todays strike is also going peaceful with groups of Maoist activists and supporters gathering in different crossroads and chanting slogans against the government, also they are singing songs and dancing. They are enjoying themselves as well as protesting the present government.

UCPN-Maoist on Indefinite Strike Nationwide

UCPN-Maoist is on an indefinite strike nationwide starting from today. In Kathmandu and other major cities of Nepal markets, school, colleges, industries are closed. Public and private transportation are also not allowed to ply on the road. UCPN-Maoist activities and its sister organization YCL is seen deployed on different parts of the capital. We can see their gathering on the street. The security forces are also deployed in large number acknowledging the probability of clashes. People are seen walking on foot to their destination. The streets look deserted as all the shops are closed and no vehicles are plying on the road.
Yesterday, the maoist supremo Prachanda declared in a large assembly that they will continue in this indefinite stike until and unless the present Prime Minister resign from his post and give way to a national government.
