Will Nepal Get A New Constitution On Time

Kathmandu, Nepal.

Sixteen days left for the new constitution to be drafted. The last date for drafting a new constitution is just knocking on the door, however, there is no sign that the constitution will be drafted in the given time frame. The leaders who are given the mandate by the people to write the constitution on time are not speeding up. They are just engulfed in power sharing strategies and are engrossed in a dispute with each other creating a sort of mess in constitution drafting process. Leaders of the parties has started blaming each other for not being able to draft the constitution on time. A year back too the CA members increased the time limit by a year saying that they could not draft the constitution due to time constrain. And they have just spent the added year just lingering here and there without any result and now they are playing the blaming game.

The leaders are now planning to increase the time frame to write the constitution by a couple of more years, however, the public should be aware to caution the leaders that they will only be provided the necessary time if they promise to work day and night in drafting the constitution and stay away from power sharing disputes and blaming games.
