Judoka Debu Thapa, a survivor of the terrible elevator accident, clinched a bronze medal in women's 63kg Judo tournament at the 11th SAG in Bangladesh.
Debu Thapa was injured in the elevator accident and was treated in the hospital for two days after the crash. It was thought that she was not going to take part in the competition, however, she defied all those presumptions and took part in the competition despite being injured and facing the pain. She walked into the ring and won the medal. Though she regret of not winning the gold medal, her courage of fighting in the ring despite being injured should be praised highly.
Her other two colleagues who were injured in that elevator crash missed their match, but Debu made it and won the medal.
